It does not mean what you think it does.

Really. The colon and the pipe are punctuation marks, which combine to form an emoticon that illustrates disinterest, apathy, sarcasm and stoicism. The colonpipe, :|, is a useful and versatile part of the internet vernacular.

This page is rarely updated. This was never my intention -- like all owners-of-websites, I had grand plans to constantly update the site with new and exciting information, but, like most owners-of-websites, this didn't happen. Utimately, this site now serves as a "best of" compendium of things that have come and gone from colonpipe.com over the years.

Now available in blog form.

For slightly more up-to-date postings, and selected historical posts dating back a decade, you can go to Once I Plop, the colonpipe blog. This will be updated marginally more often than colonpipe.com, I imagine. Don't hold me to it, though.

I also heartily recommend you also check out A Brit In Boise, the ongoing blog of Mr. Chris Grapes, a British expatriate making himself a home in Boise, Idaho.

There will, at some point, be more articles. I'd advise you to stay tuned, but I'm all too aware that the attention span of a web browsing person such as yourself is so short that you didn't even make it to the end of this sentence. Here I am, once again, talking to myself.
